@sean, You can actually provide quality themes and plugins yourself and earn a decent income from doing so, just check out this thread: How to Legally Resell Premium WordPress Themes and Plugins.

Honestly Sean, there are just so many great plugins to use that do all sorts of useful things to make blogging and marketing easier…but unfortunately we can’t install too many of them or your site starts slowing down and/or your hosting suspends you. I know because I have went through this

The only way to get around this is either have test blogs set up solely for testing out new plugins OR just get your own dedicated high powered server that can handle everything.

Perhaps, soon I’ll write a post on the latest plugins I’ve tested out, however here’s one I’ll give you for free: EZ WP Rotator that allows you to have specially made links that rotate other links enabling you to split test pages (and of course it gives you stats )

Great article. A real look at the transition of web design and development.

I have been developing websites for around ten years and I recently discover WordPress and I absolutely love it!!! Absolutely love it. I am able to use all the great things WordPress has to offer and I am able to manipulate the code to have my own design and functionality. Works out perfect.

I was wondering if you have any great template resources or plug-in resources that you would care to share.

@Jennifer Mackay, I've noticed that too and realize it's all a "continuity" thing...a business model that aims for residual monthly income. They realize WordPress isn't going away anytime soon and so they switch gears to a more service-oriented business. Btw, Dropped by your site and found it to be very elegant looking. I know Panama City from living in nearby P-Cola for about seven years and it's awesome over there! Be sure to stay in touch via MSB's emailed updates...

With WordPress it’s even easier for the novice to put together a website very quickly and easily. I have also noticed that a lot of premium theme providers are moving to subscription based services rather than a pay per template used.

You can make a lot of templates and design with the use of a lot of tools. Some of them are adobe dreamweaver which is a good application for beginners and newbies in the field. And there are a lot more applications that can help you.

I taught junior high students with learning disabilities and helped them
overcome their reading problems, but they still could not spell well.
I have to admit that I am a culprit of a few of these.
It’s funny that I didn’t realize until now that I was making a mistake!
